Nice to meet you. I’m Hillary.
Parenting a twice-exceptional (2e) child is a journey filled with incredible joys and unique challenges. Your child’s exceptional talents and abilities, paired with their specific needs, make them truly one-of-a-kind.
I know this because I’ve lived it. As a parent of a neurodiverse child, I’ve navigated the ups and downs of discovering my child’s unique gifts while addressing their challenges head-on. From advocating for the right educational support to implementing strategies at home, I’ve experienced firsthand what it means to create an environment where a 2e child can thrive. My personal journey has taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of finding tailored solutions—not just for my child, but for my entire family.
I am a dedicated advocate for neurodiverse individuals, combining my professional expertise and personal experience to support families and children with complex needs. I currently serve on the Boards of 2e4Me Academy Inc. in Newport Beach and Helping the Behaviorally Challenging Child in Tustin, where I work to improve education and mental health resources for twice-exceptional (2e) children.
Before focusing on advocacy, I ran my own successful interior design firm for 15 years, where I honed my creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. This entrepreneurial background gives me a unique perspective on problem-solving and project management, which I now apply to my advocacy work and board leadership.
I’m currently in the Certified Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) course through Think kids. I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to my work. I am passionate about helping parents navigate the challenges of raising 2e children and providing them with guidance and practical strategies to support their children’s growth.
